Still about Higgs candidate

I have already discussed the slight indications for Higgs at 160 GeV in two postings (see this and this). In the original posting I mentioned briefly the possibility that the exotic pion of the 512-fold scaled up fractal copy of ordinary hadron physics might be responsible for the excess but by a stupid calculational error the mass estimate of the exotic pion came almost twice too large whereas correct estimate is 152 GeV not too far from 160 GeV. I attach below a short piece of the text from the first posting.

M89 hadron physics might be required in TGD framework by the requirement of perturbative unitarity. Thus the mesons of M89 hadron physics might be involved. By a very naive scaling by factor 2(107-89)/2=29 the mass of the pion of M89 physics would be about 70 GeV. This estimate is not reliable since color spin-spin splittings distinguishing between pion and ρ mass do not scale naively. For M89 mesons this splitting should be very small since color magnetic moments are very small (for calculation of color-magnetic splittings see this). The mass of ordinary pion in absence of splitting would be around 297 MeV and 512-fold scaling gives M(π89)= 152 GeV which is not too far from 160 GeV. Could the decays of this exotic pion give rise to the excess of fermion pairs? (Note that the mass was erratically estimated to be 250 GeV in the original posting). This interpretation might also allow to understand why b-pair and t-pair excesses are not consistent. Monochromatic photon pairs with photon energy around 76 GeV would be the probably easily testable experimental signature of this option.

If this interpretation is correct, a whole new hadron physics might have been already seen in laboratory! Few of us can irritate their colleagues to the verge of madness by boasting with a discovery of a brand new physics and remaining still unemployed;-)! Be as it may, LHC will tell the truth.

Thanks for the correction of your error. When one works on science via consciousness and a real questing for knowledge, petty ego tripping goes away. We learn from mistakes.

Thanks for sharing me how concurrency shows up in TGD framework. Yet, the notion seems somewhat ill defined to an extent. BUT the TGD framing of concurrency makes my little brain absorb a bit more.

Funny how a small mistake can lead one down a big road of possibilities that are almost possibly correct...hehehe:) Thanks always for sharing. I must go back to the hospital in the afternoon. I don't know if I will come back, but if not. You have truly inspired me and I hope that you are someday recognized for your contribution to the physics and sciences in general.

concurrency opens new view to see what is really essential in the assumption that space-time is sub-manifold. In this picture the notions of concurrency and context are intertwined. Context creates the concurrency in very implicit manner.

I predicted M_89 pions for more than decade ago and saw some evidence in cosmic ray spectrum for gammas produced by them. It occurred just now to me that it is interesting to go and check whether the energy was around 152 GeV!

Exitement....Well.... I found that I had estimated the M_89 pion mass without taking the smallness of color magnetic hyper-finite splitting into account and got mass around 70 GeV, which is by a factor 2 smaller than 152 GeV.

I hope that this hospital affair is not anything really serious. My best wishes.

A really big discovery might be within reach but can one really hope that the people working with the data would bother to check whether monochromatic photon pairs are there? Could the elementary particle physics community be ready to consider the possibility that a person thrown out from community and labelled as a crackpot could tell them what to do?

I am not too optimistic. For instance, my short posting to Cosmic Variance with link to my blog had disappeared. Again an example about the arrogance which makes intelligent people to behave like idiots....

Hello Matti:
Thanks for the responses on concurrency from standpoint of TGD framework. Things are starting to make more sense. Initially I thought I would have to stay, but I was able to come home. I have pneumonia. In this period of lucidity, I can say that it seems as though ego must be around to keep a persons' sense of self, but the application of ego to scientific research seems to really be a wretched thing. Arrogance has NO place in the minds of scientists or students of science. The reason is that arrogance is borne of an incomplete understanding of the flow of knowledge. I see us as vessels of information (much more than this because we have souls; our consciousness). I don't think you should worry about CV or any of those high profile blogs because they are oft run by ego driven people who don't think too creatively.

I am not saying this about everyone simply that these places tend to be bastions of orthodoxist and RIGID thought. You are neither of those things so proceed to post your thoughts regularly. You at least have a few people who are addicted to this stuff. From your blog, chapters of books that you have admonished us to read, I have learned a great deal and now am trying to form the ideas I have into similar language to TGD.

And the way things work, well it will take another two hundred years for what you write to be seen as common knowledge. The universe can be a cruel joker at times.

I hope that you continue to share and inspire.
